thesummerofmark asked: Thank you for your present! My only criticisms: 1) the paper was not nearly dark enough, and 2) the book had a good story, but I felt the characters were vastly overdeveloped.

My awesome spring break!
Read over 1500 1800 pages of very well written science fiction. Ran nearly everyday in my neighborhood.  Made significant progress on organizing Organized my music collection. I have found some songs I have had for awhile but are now my new favorites.   Took a week to think about what I’m doing next with my art, some more great ideas have formed and are ready to go.  Had some great...

The Case Against News →
From Econlog: Go without news. Cut it out completely. Go cold turkey. […] If you want to keep the illusion of “not missing anything important”, I suggest you glance through the summary page of the Economist once a week. Don’t spend more than five minutes on it. Read magazines and books which explain the world - Science, Nature, The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly. Go for...

Death of a computer
My computer, a laptop, shut off for the last time at 13:30 this afternoon. In his life he has received no less then 4 OS reinstalls. 3 new power adapters. 2 new hard drives. 3 new motherboards. An upgrade of RAM. 2 new keyboards. A new touchpad and new screen casing. The cooling system has been replaced as well. In the mean time I’m relying heavily on my HTC Evo. I hope my replacement laptop...
